Hi Followers
Yesterday 4 people and I made Soy candles as a Christmas gift for the teachers. The first thing we did was put water into the double boiler ( put water in the big pot not small) and leave the small pot empty, then you put it on the stove ( caution you'l need an adult for this). when the water starts to get hot then you can put the wax in to the small pot but before you do that you will have to put the small pot into the boiling water to heat the under side. Then you add 200 grams of soy wax into the empty pot. While the soy is melting you will need to get a tealight holder and put in the wicks. make sure the wicks is straight because when you pour the wax into the tealight holder the wicks will fall over and not become straight. Then when the soy wax becomes into a liquid sought of oil so then you will need to get a thermometer to make sure the temperature is at 75 degrees Celsius. Then pour the wax in to a special measuring cup that can take high temperatures. after that you will need to pour 11 grams of lavender essence ( you can use any kind of essence) then you mix it. After you will pour the wax into the tea light holder then leave them to harden. Once they are hard then you can light it up and enjoy.
I have seen the soy candle, it fine piece of art and smells nice.
